Herb Reed, ultimo dei Platters, è morto a Boston all'età di 83 anni. Il vocal group dei The Platters, di cui Reed era il fondatore, è nato negli anni '50ed è diventato famoso soprattutto per canzoni quali 'Only You' e 'The Great Pretender'.
