John Legend: “Everybody Knows”, video e testo

“Everybody Knows” è il nuovo singolo di John Legend, il secondo estratto da “Evolver“, l’album pubblicato nell’ottobre 2008. Si tratta di una ballata amara che racconta la storia di un amore finito. Una storia finita, però, solo unilateralmente.

Nel pezzo, infatti, Legend canta il dolore di un innamorato abbandonato che deve rassegnarsi al distacco dalla sua donna. È una canzone molto comunicativa nella quale la calda voce dell’artista è accompagnata dal dolce suono delle chitarre.
 
Nel video John appare mentre cantando va a spazzo per le vie di New York. Inoltre, sono presenti scene di amore, gelosie e tanto altro. Ma guardatelo e diteci che ne pensate.
